Hard Work~~~Humbling Experience!

Flashback to 2014 Houston International Quilt Festival; I finally believe in myself enough to call myself an "Artist". All my hard work is finally paying off! It's a very humbling experience right now.
I am going to call it "the year of Deb" in response to being accepted in some upcoming shows and publications!

"Galileo Inspiration" in Fly Me To the Moon exhibit was chosen as one of the 54 quilts that will premiere at the Houston International Quilt Festival in November!  My other quilt "Apollo 11: Neil Armstrong’s First Step on the Moon" will be shown in some of the later venues below.

Eye of Sahara

"Eye of Sahara"- 3rd in the "Earth in Three Bands: R, G, B series will be published in the Fiber Art Now Emerging Artist Showcase of the fall issue of Fiber Art Now.  The publicatoin will be released September 1st!

Last but not least, I found out yesterday that the"Painted Desert" - 1st in the “Earth in Three Bands: R, G, B” series will be exhibited at Schweinfurth Art Center
